1Decided to treat myself to a decent face gel. Unfortunately this proved not to be decent. Its ineffective and no better than a cheap supermarket own brand product. It may be 79% plant based but that doesnt mean that its going to work.

5Gels are sometimes the poor relation in a skin care range. This Nuxe version, though, is sophisticated, containing some powerful botanicals like oak and hornbeam, anti-ageing actives like hyaluronic acid, and calming anti-irritants allantoin and sandalwood. Absorbs very easily and leaves a pleasant, quite persistent woody, masculine scent on the skin. This has the sophistication of a serum, so I use this first, followed by my night cream, topped with Huile Prodigieuse to seal them overnight. I also use this gel during the day over my SPF moisturiser and it works brilliantly on my combination skin, without greasiness even in summer months. Great after shaving because of the calming ingredients.
